Corporate Retreats at Hastings House
Thinking outside the box and connecting with team mates away from the routines of the office are two great reasons for a destination corporate retreat. And with the increase of remote work, retreats can be a key opportunity for colleagues to meet in real time. Taking the seaplane from downtown Vancouver to Salt Spring Island can signal the reset that groups need to approach strategy meetings with a fresh perspective. At Hastings House, we pride ourselves in creating the optimal environment for creativity, conviviality, and team building.
Meeting Spaces
For small management teams or larger events, we have the ideal meeting venue. The Somerset Executive Suite has a boardroom table right in the suite that accommodates six for an intimate debrief. For slightly larger groups up to 12, the Snug is a great option. With a large square table, this space is the perfect fit for roundtable discussions and as a breakaway room for those who have also reserved another meeting space.
The Verandah is our largest meeting room. A vaulted West Coast-style dining room, the Verandah offers a bright, spacious environment with French doors opening onto the seaside terrace.
Sumptuous Catering
Manor Dining offers delectable three-course dining menus with local wine pairings for relaxing evening events. The heritage dining rooms can be booked for private group dining. During meetings, cheese and charcuterie boards or gourmet picnics can be ordered alongside coffee and tea service to help keep groups nourished while they work to turn big ideas into concrete plans.
Team Building Activities
Hastings House is set on 22 acres of seaside gardens and grounds. The Forest lawn is a quiet, wooded spot for Bocce or as an outdoor space for team building activities. Our Events team is also available to coordinate excursions, such as golf, fishing or treatments at our Wellspring Spa.
