A Corporate Retreat Itinerary

Hastings House offers a truly unique spot for a Corporate Retreat. With multiple Harbour Air flights daily from Richmond and downtown Vancouver, you will receive all of the benefits of a destination retreat with the convenience of a quick hop across the Salish Sea. Allow us to propose a Salt Spring corporate retreat itinerary.

Imagine landing with your team and being greeted by our Bell staff members for a complimentary shuttle service to our 22-acre property on a secluded point across the harbour. You’ll have a tour of the property and be introduced to your meeting space by our Events Manager. You and your team can then relax on the property or have an arrival-day meeting to get ready for a productive and inspired retreat!

Arrival Day

4:00pm – Check in to your suite and then stroll down to the ocean-front terrace for our Seaside Social cocktail hour.

5:30pm – Bonding with the group early on is so important to a successful retreat. Start your program with a three-course gourmet experience in our heritage dining room.

Full Day at Hastings House

8:00am – All stays at Hastings House include a full made-to-order gourmet breakfast. Have your team seated in small, self-selected groups or get right to work with breakfast all together at a harvest table.

9:00am – 12:00 – Get established in your meeting room, whether it be the Snug (up to 12) or the Verandah room for larger groups. Our Events team will have the room configured for your purposes and with pre-arranged coffee and catering services.

12:00 – Break for lunch with our Erskine picnic. This practical yet ample snack can be served in the meeting room or taken out onto the property for a truly restful and picturesque hiatus.

1:00pm – Why not take advantage of the grounds and gardens at Hastings House with a team-building activity on the Forest Lawn. We offer Bocce and Croquet sets that are perfect for a fun, mid-day team-building experience.

2:00 – 5:00pm – Head back into your meeting space for a productive afternoon. Alternatively, if your aim is more rest and rejuvenation, why not plan excursions, such as an afternoon of golf, fishing, or a sailing charter around the island. For those who want a self-care experience, our onsite Wellspring Spa offers a selection of massage treatments.

7:00pm – Whether you wish to enjoy another whole-team evening meal or have the group dine independently, Manor Dining would be happy to welcome you.

Departure Day

8:00 – 10:00am – You may wish to plan an early breakfast and then head to your meeting room to bring your corporate retreat to a close. There is always the option to have a more low-key final morning with breakfast anytime between 8 and 10.

11:00am – The Bell team will take you to the seaplane or ferry dock for your return to the city. Keep an eye out for a farewell view of Hastings House’s Manor and the Post Cottage from the seaplane dock!
